Dr Bryce Meads
Dr Meads is a fully qualified Hand Surgeon in living Newcastle Australia.
Dr Meads studied medicine at the University of Auckland. He completed his orthopaedic surgical training in 1999, gaining a fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgery.
Dr Meads undertook a further 18 months of subspecialty training at Royal North Shore Hospital, Sydney Hospital and St Lukes Hospital. He then worked as a Consultant Hand Surgeon at Sydney and St Lukes Hospitals, with private rooms in Macquarie Street for 10 years. He also started working in Newcastle in late 2002. He has appointments at John Hunter Hospital, Belmont Hospital, Newcastle Private Hospital and Lingard Private Hospital. He continues to work as a Senior VMO at the John Hunter Hospital.
Dr Meads set up the Hand Surgery Centre in 2005 in the Newcastle Private Specialist Centre in New Lambton, NSW. This was set up in association with the Hand Therapy Centre. This practice has been a centre focused exclusively on treating conditions of the hand and wrist since this time. The Hand Surgery Centre and Hand Therapy Centre are dedicated to try and provide the best standard of care possible.
